Product Description
Dormosedan Gel (detomidine hydrochloride) is a veterinarian-prescribed oromucosal gel designed for the sedation and restraint of horses. This easy-to-use gel comes in a single-dose syringe and is administered under the horse's tongue, providing mild sedation to manage nervous or uncooperative horses during routine care procedures. Helps safety for both horses and handlers, making it ideal for farrier work, first aid, and other husbandry tasks. For best results, check the horse's body weight with a tape or scale before administration to ensure proper dosing, and allow at least 40 minutes before starting any activity or procedure. Sedative effects typically last between 90 to 180 minutes. Withhold food and water before administration and until the sedative effect has worn off.
