Rug Proof - Cleaning & Waterproofing Steps
1. PREP
Clean detergent drawer to remove any residue. Place 1 blanket in machine. For large items, use commercial laundromat.
2. WASH
The garments must first be cleaned with Nikwax Rug Wash. Add Rug Wash to washing machine, then wash according to garment care label.
Do NOT use household detergents as they will compromise waterproofing treatment.
3. WATERPROOF
When the wash cycle with Rug Wash in finished, leave items is washing machine. Shake Rug Proof well, add to washing machine and wash according to care label for a second wash cycle.
Do NOT combine Rug Wash & Rug Proof together within the same load.
4. DRY
Dry according to label (dryer or air dry).
